Institut de Touraine

Institut de Touraine is a private higher education institution registered with the Rectorat de l'Académie d'Orléans Tours, an association under the law of 1901, under agreement with the University of Tours.

Registration procedure

Minimum age required: 16 years old at the start date of the course
Send the registration form with a 30% deposit and a passport photo
Online registration is possible
For minors, the registration form must be completed and signed by an adult. A parental authorization duly completed and signed, accompanied by proof of insurance must be sent with the registration form. Minors will be accommodated with a host family or at Hameau Saint-Michel.

Terms of payment

A deposit of 30% of the tuition fee is due upon registration. The total amount of the tuition fees must be paid at least 30 days before the start of the course. Bank charges associated with the payment (transfer fees or money order) are the responsibility of the co-contractor.

Visas

Registered students must check with the French Consulate in their country of residence to see if they are eligible to enter and stay in France. They agree to start the necessary procedures to obtain a visa as soon as they receive their registration certificate and to have all the necessary documents and resources for their stay in France (valid passport, vaccination, insurance, etc.).

Insurance

Each student must take out the insurance necessary for a successful stay in France, including adequate coverage for civil liability, health care and repatriation.

If this compulsory insurance could not be taken out in the country of origin, it can be taken out locally.

Institut de Touraine cannot be held responsible for the possible consequences of a lack of insurance or inadequate coverage. Institut de Touraine is not responsible for any medical expenses incurred in France.

Cancellation before the course start date

The student has a period of seven clear days to exercise his/her right of withdrawal without having to justify his/her reasons or pay any penalties, minus any bank charges.

In case of cancellation of the course by the student, the following fees will be retained

Cancellation 1 week or more before the beginning of the course: 30% of the amount paid + 80 €. Cancellation less than 1 week before the beginning of the course: 50% of the amount paid + 80€ Cancellation after the course start date or during the course: full course and registration

Institut de Touraine has the right to cancel any course, especially if the number of participants is insufficient. In this case, the registration, training and accommodation fees paid by the student are fully refunded.

Changes in registration

After the beginning of the course, any change in the program, at the client's request, may result in additional costs (40 euros)

Institut de Touraine has the right to modify the registration of the co-contractor if the situation requires it. Institut de Touraine may reduce the number of hours of training if the number of students at a given level is insufficient at a given time.

Interruption and absences

Students wishing to interrupt their training after the course start date are not entitled to any refund of tuition fees for the period.

This provision applies to the total length of stay indicated on the registration certificate issued by the institution. As an exception, a partial refund of tuition fees is possible in the following cases

- death of a direct ascendant or a direct descendant of the student,
- admission to a degree program (Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate), in a French higher education institution, which requires an early departure.

The co-contractor will have to provide the following documents to obtain a refund: death certificate and plane ticket in case of death, registration certificate in case of continuation of studies in France.

The amount of the tuition reimbursement is determined as follows: Institut de Touraine retains 30% of the remaining tuition fees, up to a limit of 4 weeks of classes; the balance is returned to the co-contractor.

Any course, any hour, day or part of a course not taken will not entitle the student to any reimbursement, compensation or postponement.

Institut de Touraine reserves the right to refuse to issue an internship certificate to any student who has regularly missed classes without valid reason.

Duplicata

Duplicates of diplomas or report cards can be sent to students who have lost the original documents. This service is charged at 30 euros (including postage). Express courier charges are extra.

Public holidays

No classes are held on public holidays. There is no compensation for public holidays.

Internal rules

Students must comply with Institut de Touraine's internal regulations. If the student's behavior is such that it is detrimental to the smooth running of the course (classes, activities, lodging) or to the reputation of Institut de Touraine, the student will be excluded immediately, without the right to a refund.

Image rights

Unless otherwise specified by the student, Institut de Touraine may take photos or videos of students and use them for documentation and communication purposes.

Claim

Any claim or disagreement must be notified in writing by the claimant to the other Party. In the event of a complaint or disagreement the Parties shall endeavour to resolve the matter amicably within 30 days of notification.

As a last resort, the Court of Tours is competent.

Opposability

The general terms and conditions of sale are an integral part of Institut de Touraine's training and service offer. The student is deemed to have read and accepted these conditions, unless otherwise provided for in a written agreement between the parties.

The fact of registering for Institut de Touraine training implies full acceptance of Institut de Touraine's general sales conditions.
